What is product discovery?

Leannovation's Product Discovery is a structured process based on design thinking methodology that helps you accelerate forward in the digital product life cycle phase during which most of the teams give up. It helps you deeply connect with your idea, understand the driving forces behind it, and continue moving forward in a small, fast, and strategically designed steps that will enable you to quickly launch your idea to market.

Why is a Product Discovery Important?

This is the most dangerous phase of the product life cycle. Although it seems quite straightforward this phase hides most of the reasons why 90% of the ideas fail. if you don't accurately prove or disprove your assumptions about customers, you may end up building a product that might be nice, but it won't be necessary which directly translates to your product success.

A necessary product is the one that solves such a deep and genuine need for the customer, that they feel unable to live without. This is what we are after in Leannovation's Discovery Phase.

What is the Result of a Succesfull Product Discovery?

First and foremost, successfully facilitated Product Discovery phase gives you the answer to the question of whether the idea is worth pursuing or not.

Secondly, it results in a toolkit of prerequisites critical for the success of a product design phase which are: precisely mapped out customer personas, accurately structured problem statements, stakeholders alignment, and identified and structured product idea with actionable next steps.
