Product Concept for National Bank of Fujairah

Incorporated in 1982, the National Bank of Fujairah PJSC (NBF) is a full-service corporate bank with strong corporate and commercial banking, treasury, and trade finance expertise as well as an expanding suite of personal banking options and Shari’a compliant services. Leveraging its deep banking experience and market insight within Fujairah and the UAE, NBF is well-positioned to build lasting relationships with its clients and help them achieve their business goals. The bank is listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange under the symbol “NBF”. It has a branch network of 18 (of which 1 is an electronic banking service unit) across the UAE.

 

What was the problem?

National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) PJSC is building a dedicated banking platform for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in the UAE. The platform provides access to comprehensive financial and business services and solutions. The platform will be an exclusive digital space co-created with SMEs to understand and address their needs in a more efficient and effective.

 

Positioned as a community platform ‘For SMEs by SMEs’, the SME banking platform will leverage NBF’s latest business solutions and skilled expertise. It will evolve into a unique space for SMEs to access banking requirements, find and interact with peers, and create ideas that can address specific business challenges.

 

What was our approach?


CreITive stepped in at NBF to assist them on their journey of understanding what they want from the SMEs platform. We helped them understand who their customers are, what they want, and how the platform needs to deliver value to them.

 

We used a combination of design thinking and functional workshops which included:

  • Design thinking workshops
  • Voice of the customer workshops (Pain – Storming)
  • Assumption validation with customers using prototyping
  • Customers stories and customer engagement

What was the end product?

We provided NBF with a service like no other, we helped them understand their customers, connect with them, and gave them the tools to take all that they have learned and use it to prototype and design a product that will be scalable.
